New In: Beauty

Sleek is such an underrated brand and it just isn't talked about enough. I picked up two palettes from them: an eyeshadow palette and a highlighting palette 'cause we all know that highlight needs to be 'on fleek'.

I brought the eyeshadow palette in 'All Night Long' after seeing my beautiful, best friend Kenra Dogan create so many combinations using it.  The shadows are so pigmented and have that buttery consistency similar to the Urban Decay shadows but for a fraction of the price at £8.99. I'd call that a bargain, wouldn't you?

It comes in the standard black packaging which in my experience, after a lot of love, breaks. However, for £8.99 I can't really complain. This palette has a mixture of shimmer and matte shades, light and dark.
The ones that stand out to me the most are 'Prosecco' a beautiful gold shade, 'Cosmopolitan' a beautiful pink colour and 'Manhattan' which looks red in the pan but actually comes out a gorgeous copper which is all the rage right now.
I definitely recommend any Sleek eyeshadow palettes, they have so many so If this one in particular isn't your thing then there's plenty more to try out.

As for the highlighting palette, it comes in this beautiful gold mirrored packaging with a magnetic closure, a definite upgrade from the standard black one. It gives the product a much more luxurious feel and makes it look much more expensive than £10.

(excuse my well used Real Techniques brushes btw)

This palette is in the shade 'Solstice', it has one cream highlighter and three powders. I haven't used a cream highlighter before so I'm excited to try it out. The palette has a variety of shades, I've only swatched them but I think I can see my self using the gold powder shade 'Equinox' the most because I'm loving that bronzed glow look at the moment.
There was some other shades of this palette so if you have a darker complexion there is a palette that you'd probably prefer.

Ruffles Galore

I found summer shopping really difficult this year, especially when it came to things to bring on holiday. The shops seemed to be very same-y and lacking in anything 'cool' but as I was browsing through ASOS I came across this dress which just screamed summer to me. I felt like it incorporated many on trend elements such as the off the shoulder shape and the ruffle detailing not to mention its mauve pink colour.

The light weight material makes it perfect for the hot weather, even here in England. The strap detail not only a nice addition but it also means that there's no need for the stress of a strapless bra as I'm sure you fellow big busted ladies will appreciate.

I just paired this dress with my trusty Birkenstocks for an effortless yet put together look.

My Favourite Coat's & Jacket's

Hey, I want to start getting back into blogging. I looked at my blog after nearly a year and I remembered how much I used to enjoy it.
I thought as it's the autumn/winter season, I would share some of the jacket's and coat's I've been eyeing up while online shopping (or procrastinating).

I think it's worth investing in a good coat just because during the winter that's all anyone ever sees. Plus, you could wear the most simple outfit, through on a snazzy coat and it will automatically look like a well thought out outfit and make you look more put together.

I hope you liked this quick post, and I hope to get back into posting more regularly.

Winter Must-Haves

As well as the standard coat, scarf and gloves, there are a few accessories I can't wait to wear in the following months and I wanted to share them with you!

Firstly, the floppy hat! Hats are a must-have piece this winter. As well as looking chic and cool they also hide a bad hair day and hold the practicality of a warm head.
This one is from Topshop and was £28. Bit of a rip off for a plain black hat but finding hats for my pea head is a struggle so it was worth the splurge. These hats add something extra to a simple outfit and gives it a bit of edge without putting in much effort at all.

Up next- the pointed loafers. Uh, don't you just loveee them! (You would have seen a much better picture of them in my last post.) They're elegant and just god damn gorgoeus! I like the fact they can be dressed up and down. They just add something extra to a simple outfit and I just know I won't want to take these off my feet-  But, unfortunatly, I had no choice! They are the most uncomfortable shoes EVER! They left the backs of my feet pouring with blood- apologies for the explicit imagery but it's true!! I had no choice other than to take them back as not only were they painful they were also terribly made and the stitching came apart and formed a hole on the third or fourth wear. Gutted.
I got these from Schuh. They were on the pricey side at £60 which is so not worth it. I definitely dont recommend them. BUT I'm loving the androgynous style at the moment and my hunt continues to for finding the perfect pair!

Burnt Orange

As autumn is coming, I paired this burnt orange Zara top with black Jamie jeans from Topshop and my new pointed loafers from Schuh. Along with a long coat from ASOS.
The colour of the top gives this all black outfit a pop of colour and a very autumnal colour at that!
Black jeans are a staple in everyone's wardrobe, I've been living in these! Literally, it's quite disgusting...
The pointed loafers are so on trend and give this look a more edgy, masculine vibe!

Burt's Bees

With a little trip to boots a few months ago, I picked up the honey lip balm by Burts Bees and I've been loving it.

It has a waxy formula that sinks into the lips and is very moisturising it leaves them moisturised for a long while as well which i was pretty surprised about. I usually put a thick layer on before I go to bed and I can still feel it on my lips in the morning. Amazing!  The balm has quite a nice scent which is also something I look out for in a lip product. It honey flavour- YUM!
As well as the product being the 'bees knees' (see what I did there) the packaging is also extremely convenient for on the go and much more hygienic than pots where you have to stick your bacterial fingers in, ew! There is a hefty amount of product which I think will last quite a while too and it also contains 100% natural ingredients. What's not to love?

It's just an easy, cheap and cheerful, through-in-your-bag sorta product it does the job and for only £3.69 you really can't go wrong!

GBK, NEW FRIENDS& PENNY BOARDING!

After a hectic month of exams with still more to go, insanity was kicking in so me and my bestfriend fancied getting out the house. The weather man hinted that the evening ahead was going to be warm so what would be better than heading out to central London. We grabbed our penny boards and jumped on the tube in hunt for some smooth ground to ride on. In search for ground it lead us to a little adventure- getting lost and all sorts.

Shirt-Zara// Leggings-Topshop //Shoes-Vans

After skating down some quiet roads, the crowds started to grow so we hunted down somewhere to eat. We went to the Gourmet Burger Kitchen, which was delicious and really hit the spot! I now know why everyone raves about it so much.

We started with the free monkey nuts. Yep, free!

I then ordered the Avocado Bacon Beef Burger with sweet potato chips. It was sooo good! Oh, and I can't forget the 'baconaise'... If the name doesn't give it away It's mayonnaise with bacon. Mhm mhm mhmmm!

After being full to the brim we needed some time to digest before pennying again and found a cute little spot which overlooked the beautifully lit, iconic London Eye.

The picture really doesn't do it justice!

After sitting in what we thought was a unique spot we was annoyingly joined. After chatting to these 'intruders' we soon found out that they lived not far from us! Who would have thought?

Time flies when you're having fun and before we knew it, it was, sadly, time to head home. Finding our bus stop was an another adventure in itself and on our travels we bumped into some fellow penny boarders who gave us some tips of where to skate next time we're there! How nice!

The bus journey also gave us a few laughs, as it was a night bus so it was packed with so many crazy, drunken characters.

After the long, eventful night we were finally home. My bed has never felt so good!
